Jamie clutched his backpack tightly, eyes wide with awe and a tinge of apprehension. "I can't believe I'm finally here," he whispered under his breath.
Ms. Thompson, the head teacher, approached with a warm smile. "Welcome to our school, Jamie! Let me show you to your classroom," she said, gesturing down a bustling corridor.
Jamie found a seat next to Ella, a girl with curly hair and a friendly smile. "Hi, I'm Ella. Are you new here too?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Jamie sat with Ella under the shade of a tree, unpacking his lunch. "This place is huge! I almost got lost," he admitted, taking a bite of his sandwich.
Coach Williams, a tall man with a booming voice, instructed the students. "Alright, team, let's get moving! Today, we're going to play a game of tag," he announced, clapping his hands together enthusiastically.
Jamie walked towards the gate, his heart full of new experiences and budding friendships. "I think I'm going to like it here," he thought, a smile playing on his lips as he waved goodbye to Ella.
