Adam gripped the handle of his small blue suitcase, his eyes wide with wonder. Maya, his sister, clutched a bright pink backpack, her eyes sparkling with the thrill of their first flight. Mom and Dad guided them through the sea of people, their faces glowing with excitement.
"Don’t forget your luggage, Adam!" Mom reminded with a laugh, watching him as he eagerly pushed his suitcase forward.
"We’re almost there, kids," Dad reassured them, checking their passports and tickets.
Flight Attendant with a cheerful smile greeted, "Bonjour! Welcome to Flight 105 to Paris. We hope you enjoy your flight!"
Maya whispered to Adam, "It feels like we’re going on an adventure." He nodded, eyes wide with anticipation.
Pilot's voice crackled over the intercom, "Good afternoon, passengers. Our destination is Paris, and the flight will take five hours."
Adam turned to Mom, confusion etched on his face. "If it’s 1:00 PM now, and the flight is five hours, that means we’ll arrive at 6:00 PM, right?" "Actually, we’ll arrive at 7:00 PM in Paris time," Mom explained gently.
"What? How? That’s more than five hours!" Adam exclaimed, puzzled.
"That’s because Paris is in a different time zone," Mom replied, "Even though the flight is five hours, we’re flying east where the time is ahead. We’ll change our watches when we land."
"Whoa," Adam said, peering out the window. "That’s kind of like time travel!"
Maya held Adam’s hand tightly as the plane lifted into the sky, her heart racing with excitement.
"Our family flight adventure has officially begun," Mom murmured softly, smiling at Dad.
"Here’s to new adventures and memories," Dad added, gazing out at the endless horizon ahead.
