Brightsong the little lark gazed wistfully over the fields, his heart fluttering with a feeling he could not yet name.
"Is this all there is? Or is something greater waiting beyond those mountains?"
A gentle breeze carried a mysterious whisper, tickling his feathers with the promise of adventure.
Moonfeather, the wise little owl, blinks her round golden eyes and settles beside Brightsong.
Kaelen, the fierce young hawk, beats his strong wings, eager for flight.
Thistrel, the cheerful sparrow, hops energetically from twig to twig, chirping encouragement.
Elowen, the gentle white dove, glides in gracefully, her feathers glowing in the morning sun.
"If there’s a mystery in the sky, I want to see it first!"
"Let’s go together. No one should search alone," she coos softly.
They cross the Forest of Whispers, where ancient trees lean close and their leaves shiver with secrets. Shadows move and voices murmur, but Moonfeather listens carefully, guiding her friends through.
"The forest says to trust the winds and each other," she murmurs, her tone both wise and comforting.
Thistrel falters, his wings trembling with fatigue, while Kaelen grows restless, circling higher.
"I don’t know if I can keep going," he chirps in a small voice.
"Let’s sing together—songs make us strong," suggests Brightsong, and soon laughter and melody fill the air, chasing away fear.
Elowen gently urges them on, her calm presence bringing peace to the group.
The five friends land by the water’s edge, hearts pounding with excitement and exhaustion. Mist drifts over the pool, and the air is heavy with anticipation.
"Maybe Pentavia is just beyond this mist," whispers Moonfeather, hope and doubt mingling in her voice.
Disappointment flickers across their faces. Thistrel chirps sadly, "Where is Pentavia? We came so far!"
Brightsong gazes deeper, his eyes widening as the ripples in the water blend their images into a single shining form—a great bird with wings as broad as the sky.
"Look… when we stand together… we become Pentavia," he breathes, wonder lighting his face.
Together, they fill the sky with music, their voices weaving a tapestry of joy and courage.
Wherever they fly, other birds look up in awe, catching glimpses of golden feathers flashing in the sun.
All know now that Pentavia is not one, but many hearts flying together—brave, kind, and strong.
