Emily stood at the edge of the field, her sneakers planted firmly on the soft earth. Natalie danced ahead of her, spinning with arms outstretched. "Come on, Emily! Isn't this place beautiful?"
Emily could feel the tickle in her nose growing stronger. She tried to keep her breathing steady, but her eyes watered. "Yeah, it's... it's something," she managed, her voice strained.
Natalie paused, looking back with a concerned expression. "Are you okay, Em? You look a bit... red," she said, her laughter fading.
Despite her best efforts, an enormous sneeze erupted from Emily, shaking the very air around them. Birds scattered from nearby trees, and Natalie burst into laughter. "Bless you! That was impressive!"
Emily sniffed, rubbing her nose sheepishly. "Sorry about that," she muttered, though a smile tugged at her lips. Natalie linked arms with her, steering them back toward the path. "No worries, Em. You're a trooper for coming out here with me," she said warmly.
Emily glanced at Natalie and grinned. "Next time, maybe somewhere with less pollen?" she suggested playfully. Natalie laughed, nodding in agreement. "Deal. But thanks for trying, Em. You're the best," she replied, and together they walked into the sunset, their laughter echoing across the peaceful landscape.
