Sammy the Squirrel scampered across branches with excitement. "Today's the day, Bella and Wally!" he exclaimed, his bushy tail twitching in anticipation. Bella the Bird nodded from her perch, her feathers catching the sunlight, while Wally the Worm wiggled happily in the soft earth below.
"We have soil cakes for the rabbits," Sammy declared, holding up a cake that glimmered with specks of mica. "And water jellies for the deer," Bella added, her beak poised above the glistening jellies. "Plus, air puffs for the butterflies," Wally mentioned, eyeing the soft clouds of air puffs. But a question loomed—how to ensure each snack was divided fairly?
Sammy carefully divided the soil cake into four equal parts. "This is 1/4 for each rabbit," he explained, his paws dusted with soil. Bella, fluttering to the stream, split the water jelly into two halves. "Each deer gets 1/2. Look how they share so happily!" she chirped, watching the deer lap up their portions. Meanwhile, Wally divided the air puffs into thirds, offering each butterfly their fair share. "Three-thirds make a whole cloud!" he announced, as the butterflies danced joyfully.
"Fractions helped us share fairly," Sammy said, his voice filled with pride. "And everyone got their fair share," Bella added, her eyes shining with happiness. "Fractions are truly fantastic!" Wally concluded, the animals cheering in agreement.
The rabbits crafted soil cakes with clay, dividing them into neat quarters. The deer drew water jellies on paper and cut them into halves, while the butterflies blew bubbles, pretending to split them into thirds. Laughter and learning intertwined, solidifying the day's teachings.
