Little Bill is busy stacking blocks, his face bright with concentration. Shadows stretch across the yard, and Little Bill hums to himself, unaware that something—or someone—is tiptoeing near the fence.
Geo Umizoomi, disguised as a ghost, tries to stifle a giggle beneath the sheet. "OoooOOOoooo! Beware, Little Bill! I am the Spooky Ghost of Umi City!" Little Bill's eyes widen in shock, and he drops his blocks with a clatter.
Little Bill sprints down the path, his voice trembling as he shouts, "Help! There’s a ghost after me! Somebody, help!"
April closes her book and looks up, concern in her eyes. "April! There’s a ghost in the backyard—it chased me all the way here!" "A ghost? Are you sure, Little Bill? Show me where you saw it," she says, standing up and taking his hand.

"Surprise! It was just me, Geo. I wanted to play a spooky joke," Geo Umizoomi admits, rubbing the back of his neck. Little Bill lets out a shaky laugh, relief flooding his face.
"Next time, maybe we can all dress up as friendly ghosts," Little Bill suggests, smiling. "That way, no one has to be scared," April agrees, and the friends laugh together, the night now full of warmth and comfort.
