Lila, a curious five-year-old with a red sunhat and a tiny watering can, steps into the garden, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She looks around at the tall sunflowers and soft, leafy lettuce. "Wow, everything looks so big and pretty today!"
Max the Bunny, with fluffy white fur and twitchy ears, hops out from behind a bush to greet Lila. "Hello, Lila! Want to explore the garden with me? There are so many things to learn!" Lila grins and nods, following her new friend towards the vegetable patch.
Max the Bunny explains that each plant needs sunlight, water, and good soil to grow strong. "Carrots grow underground, and tomatoes grow above! Can you guess where peas grow?" Lila thinks hard, then points to the tall green vines. "On the vines, right? Like climbing a ladder!"
Lila kneels down, watching the bugs work. "Why are there so many bugs here, Max?" "Bugs help the plants stay healthy," explains Max. "Ladybugs eat tiny pests, and worms help the soil stay soft and full of food for plants!" Lila giggles as an ant crawls across her fingertip.
"Plants get thirsty just like us," says Lila, carefully watering each row. Max helps by gently patting the dirt with his soft paws. "Good job! The plants will grow big and strong thanks to you," he says, and they both smile proudly at their work.
Lila sits with Max under the shade of a tall sunflower, feeling happy and calm. "I learned so much today—plants, bugs, and how to care for the garden," she says. "Every day is an adventure when you’re curious," replies Max. As the sun sets, Lila waves goodbye, ready to share her new knowledge with her family.
