Lila, a fluffy orange kitten, snickered with her friends. "Whoever heard of a cat without nails? That’s just silly!" Milo felt his cheeks grow warm and his ears droop. He turned away, wishing he could hide behind the tall daisies.

Milo gently nudged the bird with his nose and whispered, "Don't be scared. I will help you." Carefully, he scooped the bird into a soft bed of moss and stayed beside it all night, singing lullabies. No other cats saw, but the stars twinkled as if they were cheering for him.

Princess Bella spotted Milo caring for the tiny bird. "You have such a gentle heart, Milo. No one else noticed this little bird was hurt. You are very special," she purred softly as she sat beside him. The other kittens watched, surprised and a little jealous.

"Milo, will you come play with me? You are gentle and sweet, and that’s what I like most," Princess Bella announced. The other kittens blinked, their whiskers twitching. Toby finally said, "We were wrong, Milo. Being kind is better than being tough."

Princess Bella nuzzled Milo and whispered, "You are lucky, Milo, because you have the biggest heart." Milo smiled, his worries floating away like dandelion seeds. The garden was bright with joy, and everyone learned that being gentle makes the world a happier place.
