Little Bill and Little Bear tread carefully, their eyes wide with anticipation. Every creak and whisper makes them jump as they search for adventure in the cool night air.
"I’m not scared, are you?"
"No way, I just wish it wasn’t so... dark," Little Bear replies, clutching his friend’s sleeve just a bit tighter.
Both Little Bill and Little Bear freeze as the ghosts let out a chilling wail, swirling and darting around them. The air feels colder; their hearts pound as the ghosts hover mere inches away.
"R-run!" yells Little Bill, grabbing Little Bear's paw.
"Don’t look back!" cries Little Bear, and together they scramble on all fours, darting through the playground and out towards the lights of the city.

Little Bill and Little Bear skid to a halt, panting and wide-eyed. Geo Umizoomi, ever calm and logical, looks up from his building blocks.
"Geo, you have to help us! There were ghosts—real ghosts!"
"They were chasing us through the park, and they almost got us!"
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] grabs his magnifying glass and leads his friends back to the park, now less frightening under the watchful glow of his flashlight. The playground is still, but faint giggles echo from behind the swings.]
"Let’s look for clues. Ghosts are tricky, but I bet we can solve this mystery together," he says, scanning the area. They find a trail of candy wrappers and a feather boa snagged on a branch.
"Wait a second, that looks like something from Milli and Bot’s dress-up box," says Little Bill.

Milli, always playful, waves shyly. Bot adjusts his headlamp, grinning sheepishly.
"Surprise! We just wanted to give you a spooky thrill,"
"We didn’t mean to make you run so fast!"
Geo Umizoomi hands out hot cocoa from his thermos as Little Bill and Little Bear recount their wild chase. The night feels safe and magical, the fear now a funny memory.
"Next time, let’s be ghosts together," suggests Little Bear, and everyone cheers in agreement.
