Little Bill sat cross-legged on the floor, building a tower of blocks. Suddenly, icy air swept through the room, making the curtains billow. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a misty figure gliding silently near the bookshelf.
"Wh-who’s there?" His voice trembled as the ghostly shape flickered, sending a jolt of fear through him.
Little Bill leapt to his feet, abandoning his blocks. Heart pounding, he sprinted down the corridor, glancing nervously over his shoulder. The pale apparition seemed to follow, its wispy form drifting eerily after him.
Geo Umizoomi appeared, accompanied by Milli and Bot, all alert and ready for action. Little Bill hurriedly approached them, eyes wide with panic.
"Geo, there’s a ghost in my house! It chased me all the way from the living room. You have to help me!"
"Don’t worry, Little Bill. We’re great at solving mysteries. Let’s find out what’s really going on," Geo Umizoomi replied confidently.
Milli checked behind the couch while Bot inspected the curtains. Geo Umizoomi followed the faint trail of shimmering dust left by the “ghost.” The room was silent except for the occasional beep from their devices.
"Look! There are footprints in the dust—small ones, like a child’s," Milli exclaimed.
As everyone turned, April, Little Bill’s cousin, stepped into the light, holding the sheet in her hands. Her face was flushed with embarrassment.
"I just wanted to play a trick on you, Bill. I didn’t mean to scare you so much," she admitted softly.
Little Bill let out a shaky laugh, his cheeks reddening. Geo Umizoomi and the team smiled, happy to have solved another mystery.
"Next time, just ask if you want to play ghosts," Little Bill teased, and everyone giggled, happy the ghost was just a friend all along.
