Dora and her best friend, Boots, tiptoed along the path, their backpacks bouncing with each step. Suddenly, a ghostly face glowed from behind a tree, its eyes wide and mouth open in a silent scream. The chilling image sent shivers down their spines as mist curled around their feet.
"Boots, did you see that?" Dora whispered, gripping his hand tightly.
"I did! Let's get out of here, Dora!"
Dora grabbed Boots's arm as they ran, glancing over her shoulder to be sure the ghost wasn’t chasing them. The jungle seemed darker now, every shadow a new threat. Finally, they burst out onto a sun-dappled clearing, gasping for breath.
"That was the scariest thing I've ever seen, Dora!"
"We have to tell someone who can help us figure out what it was!"
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] tinkers with a gadget, his blue helmet shining in the late sunlight.]
Dora and Boots rushed over, barely able to catch their breath. Geo Umizoomi looked up, concern flickering across his face.
"Geo, we saw a ghost! Its face was so scary and it almost chased us!"
"Don’t worry, Dora and Boots. I’ll help you solve this mystery. Let’s go back and look for clues together."
Geo Umizoomi[/@ch_3] by their side. The fading sunlight glimmers on dewdrops as they carefully examine the spot where the ghost appeared.]
Geo kneels beside a bush, picking up a white cloth snagged on a branch. He points to large, muddy footprints leading away from the scene. The friends follow the trail, curiosity gradually replacing their fear.
"Geo, do you think the ghost left these footprints?"
"I think our ghost might be someone in disguise. Let’s keep following the clues!"
Reese Martin[/@ch_4], Farrah Martin, and Uniqua are gathered around a lantern, giggling as they try on costumes.]
Dora, Boots, and Geo Umizoomi approach quietly, peeking from behind a bush. Reese holds up the ghost mask, laughter sparkling in his eyes.
"Wait a minute! It was just Reese, Farrah, and Uniqua playing dress-up!"
"Oh no, did we scare you? We were just practicing for the costume parade!"
Geo Umizoomi smiles, relieved that the mystery is solved. Dora and Boots laugh with their friends, feeling brave and happy once more.
"Next time, just invite us to the costume parade! We love a good adventure."
"Deal! And we promise—no more spooky surprises."
