Angelica Pickles tiptoed behind the jungle gym, her flashlight flickering in the darkness.
Mike the Knight clutched his wooden sword, his armor glinting faintly under the moonlight.
"Mike, do you think ghosts come out when it’s this dark?"
"I’m not sure, Angelica, but I’m ready just in case!"
Angelica Pickles screamed, dropping her flashlight as she saw the mysterious silhouette move.
Mike the Knight froze for a moment, then bolted toward the swings, his armor clanking loudly.
"Run, Mike! There’s a ghost!"
"I saw it too! Let’s get out of here!"
Angelica Pickles and Mike the Knight reach the edge of the playground, breathing heavily, faces pale.
"We have to tell the others! That ghost almost got us!"
"Come on, let's find our friends. Maybe they know what to do."
Tommy, the brave leader of the group, listens intently as Angelica Pickles and Mike the Knight recount their spooky experience.
"You saw an actual ghost? Are you sure it wasn’t just your imagination?"
"No, Tommy, it was real! It floated right past us!"
"We need help to figure out what it was!"
Tommy leads the way, followed by Susie and Chuckie, all searching for clues.
Suddenly, a faint meowing sound drifts from behind the slide, and a pair of glowing eyes peer out.
"Wait, I think I see something moving!"
Angelica Pickles gasps, realizing the truth.
"It’s just a cat! All this time, we were scared of a kitten in a sheet!"
"I guess ghosts aren’t real after all... but cats sure are sneaky!"
Laughter fills the playground, the fear forgotten as the friends cuddle the rescued cat, sharing stories under the moonlit sky.
