Little Bill and Franklin the Turtle wandered between the rustling bushes, their flashlights flickering. Suddenly, a pale, wispy figure drifted out from behind the slide, its form shimmering eerily in the silver light.
"Did you see that, Franklin? Something’s floating over there!"
"I did, Little Bill! That looks like... like a ghost!"
Little Bill grabs Franklin the Turtle's hand, and together they run as fast as their legs can carry them, hearts pounding. The ghostly figure floats after them, its "woo-ooo" echoing through the night.
"Don’t look back, Franklin! Just keep running!"
"My shell’s not made for this much excitement!"
Geo Umizoomi, with his bright blue suit and big smile, looks up from tinkering with a robot. Little Bill and Franklin the Turtle gasp for breath as they try to explain the frightening scene outside.
"Geo, you have to help! There’s a ghost in the playground, and it’s chasing us!"
"It was all floaty and spooky, and I think it wanted to scare us away!"
Geo Umizoomi leads the way, his flashlight beam steady. Little Bill and Franklin the Turtle cling close, eyes darting around for any sign of the ghost.
"Let’s stick together and find out who—or what—that ghost really is,"
"I hope it’s not too close..."
The friends gasp as the figure is unmasked: it’s Milly Umizoomi, giggling and slightly embarrassed, wrapped in a white sheet.
"Surprise! I was just pretending to be a ghost for the Halloween party, but I didn’t mean to scare anyone that much!"
"Milly! We really thought you were a real ghost!"
"I guess my shell can relax now."
Geo Umizoomi helps Milly Umizoomi out of her ghost costume while Little Bill and Franklin the Turtle share their adventure.
"Next time, let’s make sure everyone knows who’s behind the mask before we get too spooked!"
"Deal! But maybe we can still share a ghost story or two—just for fun."
Everyone agrees, their laughter echoing under the bright autumn moon as they head back inside for treats and games.
