Lily sat cross-legged on her bed, cradling her favorite stuffed toy, a bunny named Mopsy. "You're my best friend, Mopsy," she whispered, a tender smile playing on her lips.
Lily carried Mopsy downstairs, her small feet padding softly on the wooden floor. "Let's have breakfast, Mopsy! I hope Mom made your favorite—banana pancakes," she giggled.
Lily's Mom entered the room, a knowing look on her face. "Lily, remember to tidy up after breakfast. And don't forget, we need to find a new toy for the donation drive," she reminded gently. Lily nodded, but her heart sank at the thought of parting with any of her beloved toys.
"I don't want to give any of you away," Lily confessed to her stuffed companions. After a moment of silence, she picked up Mopsy, whispering, "But I know some children need you more. Maybe we can share our love with them."
Lily gently placed Mopsy in the box, her fingers lingering on the soft fur. "You'll make someone very happy," she assured her bunny, fighting back tears. Her mother hugged her tightly, proud of her daughter's generosity.
Lily snuggled under her quilt, her heart feeling a little lighter. "Goodnight, Mopsy," she whispered to the stars outside her window, knowing her bunny was beginning a new adventure, sharing happiness just as Mopsy had done with her.
