Sunny, a plump little golden fish with a bright orange tail, glides in slow circles near the pond’s edge, his scales shimmering with each turn.
Goldie, a slender golden fish with delicate fins and curious eyes, emerges from behind a clump of waterweed.
"Good morning, Goldie! Did you see how clear the water is today?"
"I did, Sunny! It feels like the whole pond is sparkling just for us,"
Goldie leads the way, weaving skillfully through the tangled stems, her excitement barely contained.
"I found a new hiding place yesterday, Sunny! Follow me, I want to show you."
Sunny flicks his tail eagerly, his eyes wide with anticipation.
"I can't wait! Maybe we'll find some tasty bugs, too."
Sunny and Goldie freeze, their bodies tense and eyes fixed on the newcomer.
"Who is that? He looks so big!"
"I've never seen him before. Let’s stay close together,"
Goldie trembles, but Sunny gently nudges her.
"It’s alright, Goldie. Maybe he’s just hungry, like us. Should we say hello?"
"Maybe... but only if you’re with me,"
"Hello, Mr. Turtle! Welcome to our garden,"
The turtle nods, his voice slow and deep, "Thank you, little ones. I’ve never seen such brave fish before."
"We were scared at first, but we wanted to meet you,"
Sunny and Goldie dart in and out of the plants, showing the turtle all their favorite places.
"I’m glad we were brave, Goldie. Today became special because we tried,"
"Me too, Sunny. With friends, even the scariest things don’t seem so big,"
