Mia, a beautiful little monkey with a mischievous twinkle in her eye, sat on a tree branch, swinging her legs. She was eagerly waiting for her best friend, Ugo, the wolf, to arrive for their afternoon snack. "I can't wait to have some bananas with Ugo," she thought, her tail flicking with excitement.
Ugo finally arrived, his coat gleaming in the sunlight. "Ready for a snack, Mia?" he asked with a wagging tail. But as they approached the fruit basket, their smiles faded. Mia exclaimed, "The bananas are gone! What will we do?" Ugo reassured her, "Don't worry, Mia. We'll just hop in the car and head to the coop to buy some more!"
Mia and Ugo drove to the coop, the engine humming "BRUM BRUM BRUM BRUM PE PE’ PE PE’," as they parked and grabbed a cart. Mia jumped onto the cart with a giggle, steering it while Ugo pushed. They raced past aisles of colorful fruits—red apples, green grapes, pink peaches, and orange mandarins—but no yellow bananas. "Who bought all the bananas?" wondered Mia.
Mia suggested visiting her grandmother, who always had bananas. Ugo nodded, and they set off again, "BRUM BRUM BRUM BRUM PE PE’ PE PE’," echoing through the air. They arrived and knocked on the door. "Grandma, do you have any bananas?" Mia asked hopefully. But her grandmother shook her head apologetically, "I'm sorry, dear. I have none left. Maybe your mom knows what to do."
Mia called her mom, who suggested a visit to Giulia, the frog. With curiosity, they drove off once more. Arriving at Giulia’s house, they found it dark and seemingly empty. But as they knocked, lights flickered on, revealing all their friends shouting "Surprise!" It was a birthday party for Mia!
Mia gasped in delight as she realized the surprise. Her friends sang "Happy Birthday," and she blew out the candles with a hearty "FIUUUUUUU." Amidst the laughter and joy, her friends brought out the gifts. Inside, to her amazement, were heaps of bananas! Mia and Ugo munched happily, their adventure ending with full bellies and happy hearts.
