Benny the Bunny bounces nervously near the starting line, twitching his nose as he surveys the gumdrop hills ahead.
Penny the Penguin adjusts her racing scarf, wings stretched in anticipation.
Lila the Lizard studies a crinkled map, her eyes sharp and thoughtful.
"This year, I'm going to win that golden jellybean!"
"Don't forget, Benny, it's not just about speed—sometimes you need a good slide,"
"Or a clever shortcut," she adds with a grin.
Benny the Bunny pauses, watching his friends. Determination glows in his eyes.
"Watch out, everyone! I'm faster than a candy comet today,"
"We'll see who gets there first," Lila teases, tucking her map into her satchel.
Benny the Bunny explodes off the line in a blur of white fur, ears flapping wildly.
Penny the Penguin slides skillfully onto the chocolate lanes, her waddle quick and sure.
Lila the Lizard darts through the marshmallow meadow, her green scales shimmering as she slips into her secret shortcut.
"Help! I'm stuck!" Benny calls, his paws glued to the caramel.
"I can't get up, it's so slippery!" Penny groans, dusted in sugar.
Lila the Lizard slows, glancing back at her struggling friends.
"We started this race together, let's finish it together,"
"Thanks, Lila. I guess winning isn't everything,"
"With friends, the race is much sweeter,"
Benny the Bunny, Penny the Penguin, and Lila the Lizard grin as they hold their golden jellybeans high, their hearts full and Sweetville sweeter than ever.
"Best race ever!"
"And the best friends, too!"
"Next year, let's bring even more teammates,"
