Max and Leo wandered deeper into the forest, their initial excitement giving way to concern. "Do you remember which way we came from?" Max asked, scanning the trees for any familiar signs. "I thought it was this way," Leo replied, his voice tinged with doubt.
A parrot, Coco, swooped down, landing gracefully on a low branch. "Lost, are we?" Coco squawked, his eyes twinkling with mischief. Max and Leo exchanged surprised glances. "Can you help us?" Leo asked hopefully.
"Follow me, follow me!" Coco chirped, darting ahead. Max and Leo hurried after the vibrant guide, their footsteps crunching on the fallen leaves. "I think we're getting closer," Max said, feeling a flicker of hope.
"First, solve this riddle," Coco declared, perching on a nearby branch. "What has keys but can't open locks?" Leo pondered for a moment, then grinned. "A piano!" he exclaimed. Coco flapped his wings approvingly, "Well done! Onward!"
Coco led the boys to a narrow, hidden path, barely visible under the moonlight. "This way, this way," Coco urged. Max and Leo followed, feeling the thrill of adventure and the comfort of guidance.
Leo sighed with relief as they emerged from the trees, "We made it!" he said, grinning. Max turned to Coco, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Coco," he said earnestly. "Anytime!" Coco squawked, taking flight once more into the night sky, leaving the boys with a newfound appreciation for friendship and trust.
