Max sat on his bed, his small hands clutching his favorite stuffed dinosaur. "I wish today could be different," he whispered to himself, feeling the familiar flutter of anxiety in his chest.
Mom entered the room, her voice soothing. "Max, I have a surprise for you," she smiled, gesturing towards the garden where BoBo waited eagerly. Max peered out, his eyes widening with surprise and curiosity.
Max hesitantly stepped outside, his heart pounding with both fear and excitement. BoBo trotted over, nuzzling against Max's leg, offering a warm, reassuring presence. "Hello, BoBo," he whispered, a small smile breaking through his anxious expression.
Max threw a frisbee, watching as BoBo bounded excitedly after it. Laughter bubbled up in Max's chest, the tension of anxiety momentarily forgotten. "You're really fast, BoBo!" he called out, feeling a newfound sense of freedom.
Max glanced towards the deeper end of the pond, where a group of children were playing. His stomach twisted with the familiar anxiety, but BoBo nudged him gently, offering silent encouragement. "I can do this," Max whispered to himself, taking a deep breath and standing up.
Max felt a sense of accomplishment that he had never experienced before. BoBo trotted beside him, his tail wagging contentedly. "Thank you for being with me, BoBo," Max murmured, reaching down to give his furry friend a gentle pat. For the first time, Max felt hopeful about tomorrow.
