Eight-year-old Max clutched his backpack tightly as he walked home from school, humming a tune. Suddenly, a gust of wind snatched his cherished hat, sending it tumbling across the street. Max stood frozen, unsure of what to do next.
Max's heart raced as he contemplated running after his hat. Just as he took a step forward, a looming truck roared down the street, its horn blaring. Panic surged through him, but before he could move, a flash of red and blue appeared.
Spider-Man extended a hand, stopping Max in his tracks. "Woah there, buddy! That was close. You should never run into the street without looking," he advised, his voice friendly yet firm.
Max nodded, his eyes wide with admiration and relief. Spider-Man led him to the traffic light, pressing the button to signal the pedestrian crossing. "We wait for the green light. It’s important to be cautious and safe," he explained, pointing to the pedestrian signal.
As they reached the other side, Spider-Man deftly retrieved the hat from the tree branch and handed it to Max. "Thank you, Spider-Man," Max said, his voice filled with gratitude.
Spider-Man waved as he swung back into the city skyline, leaving Max with a newfound understanding of safety and a story to tell. Max walked home, the lessons of the day etched into his mind, feeling a little more like a hero himself.
