Ravi, a humble woodcutter dressed in worn clothes, walks slowly through the forest, carrying his old axe. His face is marked by kindness and hard work. He approaches the stream, ready to begin his day.
"Oh no, my only axe! How will I earn my living now?"
He desperately tries to spot the axe in the water, but the current pulls it out of sight, leaving him distraught and worried.
Forest Fairy, guardian of the stream, speaks in a voice as clear as running water.
"Why do you look so sad, kind woodcutter?"
Ravi explains his misfortune, his voice trembling with honesty and hope.
"Is this your axe?"
"No, that is not mine. My axe was old and made of iron,"
Ravi replies, shaking his head, his honesty shining through even in hardship.
"Is this your axe?"
"No, mine was just a simple iron axe,"
After hearing his truthful answer, the fairy fetches his real iron axe and hands him all three—gold, silver, and iron.
Ravi’s honesty is rewarded, and he returns home grateful, knowing that truthfulness brings unexpected blessings. From that day on, he shares his story with others, teaching the value of honesty and integrity, inspiring all who hear it to choose the right path.
