Hedgehog snuffled happily, his tiny nose twitching as he looked for juicy berries hidden under the leaves. "Oh, today is a lovely day! I hope I find the biggest, reddest berry ever," He waddled through the clover, his brown spikes glistening in the warm sun.
Hedgehog scampered too fast, not seeing the thorn bush poking out from behind the log. "Ouch! Oh no, my paw! oh dear," He tumbled down, clutching his little paw, he felt sad as he sat helpless beside the log.
"I can't walk. What do I do now? I need help... but who will help me?" He remembered his big friend, the wizard, who lived at the edge of the woods.
"Wizard! Oh, Wizard! Please help me, I am hurt and can't move!" He was hoping his friend would hear him.
Wizard appeared in a flash, and stood beside Hedgehog. "Dear little Hedgehog, I heard you call for me. Let me see your paw," He knelt down, his gentle hands glowing with magic light as he looked at the hurt paw.
"Close your eyes, Hedgehog. My magic will make you better,"Hedgehog squeezed his eyes shut. Warm, tingly light wrapped around his paw, and soon the pain faded away, replaced by a happy, tickly feeling.
"Thank you, Wizard! Now I can run and play again,""You're always safe with me, little friend. Next time, watch out for those thorns"Hedgehog giggled, promising to be more careful, as he and Wizard walked together out of the woods on the path back home.
