Max sniffed the ground, searching desperately for a familiar scent. His tail, usually wagging with joy, drooped as he realized he was far from home. "Where am I?" he thought, feeling a pang of loneliness amidst the noise of the city.
"That pup looks lost," Toby remarked slowly, his eyes full of understanding. "Let's help him!" chirped Sandy, her bushy tail twitching with excitement.
"Hey there, little guy, are you lost?" Sandy asked gently, her voice like a soft melody. "Yes, I can't find my way home," Max replied, his voice tinged with worry. "Don't worry, we'll help you," Toby reassured him with a slow nod.
"First, let's retrace your steps," suggested Toby, his voice steady and calm. "And I'll run ahead to scout for any familiar landmarks," offered Sandy, eager to help. With newfound hope, Max nodded, grateful for his new friends.
Max followed closely behind Sandy, who darted from tree to tree, while Toby kept pace with slow determination. "This street looks familiar," Max exclaimed, his ears perking up. "We're on the right track," Toby assured him.
"This is it! This is home!" Max barked happily, his tail wagging furiously. "We did it!" Sandy cheered, while Toby chuckled warmly. Max turned to his friends, gratitude shining in his eyes. "Thank you both, I couldn't have done it without you," he said, his heart full.
