Finn, a little turtle in green glasses and blue coveralls, blinks in confusion as he watches the bus disappear. His heart thumps with uncertainty, and he looks around at the endless fields stretching toward the horizon.
"What do I do now?" he wonders aloud, remembering the comforting stories his grandpa and dad used to tell him about finding your way home.
Finn closes his eyes and hears his grandpa's voice in his mind: "When you're lost, look for the oak tree with three branches and follow the stream that runs beside it." He scans the landscape, searching for a landmark, and spots an old oak in the distance, its trunk twisted and proud.
Hazel the Rabbit, with bright, curious eyes, hops over to greet Finn. "Are you lost, little turtle? I know these fields well. Maybe I can help you find your way."
"Oh, yes, please!" Finn replies gratefully, feeling a bit of hope return as Hazel offers to guide him along the stream.
Finn remembers another story from his dad: "If you ever reach the thorny thickets, look for the path where the stones are smooth. It leads you through safely." With Hazel’s help, Finn spots the smooth stones and carefully treads through the brambles, feeling the thrill of adventure with every step.
Olive the Owl, with feathered spectacles and a soft hoot, offers advice: "If you follow the path of silver stones, you’ll reach the road to town by sunrise." The mice, eager to help, share breadcrumbs and stories of their own. Finn feels the warmth of friendship and the courage to continue.
Finn rushes through the gate, his heart full of joy, gratitude, and newfound wisdom. His dad and grandpa greet him with open arms, proud of his safe return. Finn smiles, hugging them tightly, and says, "Thank you for your stories. I’ll always listen, because you never know when they’ll guide you home."
