Ruby sat on the plush carpet, her face a mix of curiosity and frustration, a colorful jigsaw puzzle spread out before her. Her mother, Sarah, watched from the couch, concern etched across her features.
Her father, Tom, entered the room, carrying a steaming mug of coffee.
"I can't get this piece to fit," Ruby's voice trembled slightly.
"Let's try to figure it out together,"
Sarah and Tom shared a determined look, their laptops open to articles on executive functioning.
"It seems like her brain processes things differently,"
"We need to help her manage these emotions,"
"We've created a quiet corner where she can go if she feels overwhelmed,"
"Thank you for supporting Ruby," Sarah replied gratefully.
Ms. Jenkins nodded, "We're all in this together,"
Ruby stood by the sandbox, watching her friends build a castle. Sarah approached, kneeling beside her.
"Would you like to join them?"
"I don't know if they'll want me to," Ruby replied hesitantly.
"Let's ask together,"
Tom placed a new photo into the album. "Look how far you've come,"
"I did it with your help," Ruby smiled.
"And we'll always be here to help,"
Sarah and Tom stood by the door, their hearts full of love and hope.
"We learned as much as she did," whispered Sarah.
"Together, we're unstoppable," Tom replied, gently closing the door.
