Lily sat cross-legged on the carpet, her eyes intently following the words on a page. She had just discovered the magic of reading and was eager to share it with her little sister. Beside her, Rollin, her wide-eyed sibling, watched with anticipation. "Let me show you how amazing stories can be," Lily said with excitement.
Lily patiently guided Rollin through the alphabet, pointing at each letter and sounding it out. Rollin giggled whenever she got one right, her small fingers tracing over the letters as if they held secrets. "A is for apple," she repeated, her voice full of wonder.
Lily watched proudly as Rollin began to piece together simple words. "You’re doing great, Rollin," she encouraged, her heart swelling with pride. Rollin beamed, her confidence growing with every new word she learned.
Rollin picked up one of the books and attempted to read a short story aloud. Her voice wavered at first, but as Lily listened intently, she found her rhythm. "Once upon a time," she began, her voice growing stronger with each sentence.
Lily hugged Rollin, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. "You did it! You can read, Rollin!" she exclaimed. Rollin giggled, clapping her hands with delight. "I love stories, Lily," she replied, her eyes shining with excitement.
Lily whispered a goodnight to Rollin, feeling grateful for their shared journey. As Rollin drifted into dreams, Lily knew they would explore many more stories together. The room was quiet, but the promise of new adventures lingered in the air.
