Max sat cross-legged on the carpet, surrounded by a fortress of action figures. The rain drummed a soft melody, inviting a lazy afternoon indoors. Leo and Sam watched him from across the room, their eyes bright with interest.
"Hey, Max, can we play with your action figures?" asked Leo, his voice a mix of hope and excitement.
"I don't know," Max hesitated, clutching his favorite hero tightly. "These are my special ones."
Sam shuffled closer, his curiosity piqued. "Come on, Max. We can make up a big story with them. It'll be fun!"
Max looked at his brothers, sensing their genuine eagerness. Yet, the thought of sharing his prized toys made him uneasy. "What if you break them?", he voiced his concern, glancing at their hands.
Leo grinned, an idea forming. "How about a competition? Whoever can build the best fortress with blocks gets first pick of the action figures!"
Max perked up at the suggestion. "Alright," he agreed, a spark of enthusiasm in his eyes. "Let's see who can make the tallest tower!"
The living room transformed into a construction site, blocks piling higher and higher. Max focused intently, while Leo and Sam giggled and whispered strategies.
"Look, mine's almost as tall as me!" exclaimed Sam, stepping back to admire his creation.
"Careful, it's wobbly," Leo warned, stabilizing his own structure with precision.
Max surveyed the towers, impressed by his brothers' creativity. "You guys did great," he admitted, a newfound respect in his voice.
Leo grinned, holding out a hand. "Let's all play together, okay? We can make an epic battle scene!"
Max nodded, finally understanding the joy of sharing. He handed Leo and Sam a few of his favorite figures, their eyes lighting up with gratitude.
The boys huddled close, their imaginations weaving a tale of heroes and villains. Laughter and cheers filled the room, the earlier tension forgotten.
"Let's save the world together!" Sam declared, holding his action figure aloft.
"Yeah!" Max agreed, his heart full. "Together, we're unstoppable!"
