Max, the unofficial leader of the group, was a curious boy with bright eyes and an adventurous spirit. Lily, known for her sharp mind and quick wit, joined him. Ethan, always ready with a gadget or tool, and Sophie, the empathetic one who could read people like a book, completed their team. "Alright team, today's mystery is a tough one," Max declared.
"The book was checked out last by Tommy, but he swears he returned it," Lily pointed out, holding a list of names. Ethan tinkered with his magnifying glass, scanning the ground for any traces. "Maybe he left it somewhere else," Sophie suggested thoughtfully.
Max picked up the bookmark, noticing a name etched on it. "This belongs to Emma, the girl who loves reading by the lake," he exclaimed. "Should we head there next?" Ethan asked, eager to continue their search.
Sophie spotted Emma sitting on a bench, engrossed in another book. "Let's ask her if she knows anything," Sophie proposed. Lily[/@ch_2_d]"Hey, [@ch_6]Emma, have you seen the missing library book?"[/@ch_2_d] Lily questioned.
"Oh, I remember now! I borrowed it from Tommy to read here last week," Emma admitted sheepishly. Max grinned, relieved. "Mystery solved! Let's return it before Mrs. Turner notices it's missing," he said with a laugh.
"Another case closed by the Junior Detectives Club," Ethan announced proudly. Lily[/@ch_2_d]"Until the next mystery,"[/@ch_2_d] [@ch_2]Lily added with a wink. Sophie smiled, knowing their friendship was the greatest mystery of all.
