Sammy the Squirrel scampered along the forest path, his bushy tail flicking with excitement. Today felt different, as if the forest itself was whispering secrets just for him.
Sammy halted suddenly, his keen eyes spotting the small, trembling figure of a bird. "Oh dear, you look hurt!" he exclaimed, inching closer with a mixture of curiosity and concern.
"I must find help," he decided, his small heart pounding with urgency. Sammy turned, his mind racing through the list of forest friends who might lend a hand.
Sammy first approached Benny the Beaver, known for his resourcefulness. "Benny, a bird needs our help," he squeaked, his voice rising with urgency. "Can you assist?"
Lila the Ladybug, gentle and kind, fluttered near Sammy, her tiny wings shimmering. "I'll find herbs for healing," she promised. Freddy the Fox, clever and swift, nodded. "I'll keep watch for any danger," he assured.
Sammy watched as Benny skillfully constructed a small shelter, while Lila's herbs were gently applied to the bird's wing. "You're going to be okay," he whispered softly, feeling a swell of pride in the community's kindness.
Sammy looked around at his friends, their faces lit with the satisfaction of a good deed done. "We did it together," Freddy grinned, and the forest seemed to echo with a chorus of agreement.
