Lolly the Lion lifted his head and looked around at all the animals bowing to him. He liked being called the king and always wanted the best food for himself. Whenever he caught something yummy, he would eat it alone and not share with anyone else. The other animals watched sadly from the bushes.
Giraffe[/@ch_2] walks slowly, his long neck searching for something to eat.]
Giraffe felt his tummy rumble. He looked everywhere but could not find leaves or fruit to eat. Feeling worried, he walked up to Lolly the Lion. "Lolly, I am so hungry. Can you please share some food with me?" "No, I am the king. I do not have to share my food," replied Lolly, turning away.
The rain keeps pouring down, and soon there is hardly any food left. Everyone, even Lolly the Lion, finds it hard to find something to eat. The animals gather together under a big tree, their faces sad and tired.
Tiger[/@ch_3] stands up on a log. All the animals sit close together, shivering from the rain. Baskets filled with the last apples, mangoes, and nuts are placed in the center.]
"Friends, we are all hungry. We must help each other and share our food. If we share, everyone will have enough," said Tiger in a strong voice. "Let us invite Lolly too. Maybe he will learn to share," suggested Giraffe.
Lolly the Lion[/@ch_1] walks slowly to the meeting place. His tummy growls. He sees the basket full of different foods. The rain begins to stop, and a rainbow shines across the sky.]
Lolly looks at all the animals sharing and smiling together. He feels a little shy but very hungry. Monkey holds out some mangoes and nuts to him. "Lolly, you are our friend. Please eat with us," says Monkey kindly.
Lolly the Lion smiles and feels warm inside. "Thank you, friends. I learned that sharing makes everyone happy, even the king," says Lolly. All the animals cheer, and from that day, Lolly always shares his food with everyone in the jungle.
