Leo the Lion lay quietly, his eyes half-closed, enjoying the peaceful morning. Suddenly, a small figure emerged from the grass—a curious, brave little child with bright eyes and a big smile.
Milo the Kid introduced himself, his voice trembling with excitement.
"Hello, Mr. Lion! My name is Milo. I’ve never seen a real lion before. Are you as brave as everyone says?"
"Hello, Milo. People say I am brave, but sometimes I feel scared too. It’s important to be honest about how we feel," said Leo, his voice deep but gentle.
"Really? Even lions get scared?" Milo asked, surprised.
"Of course. Honesty helps us trust each other and ourselves," Leo replied, smiling warmly.
"I promised my friends I’d bring them sweet berries from the other side, but I can’t do it alone," Milo admitted, looking worried.
"Let’s work together. I’ll help you cross if you help me find the safest way," Leo suggested, his tail swishing with anticipation.
"Hold on tight, Leo! There’s a log over there—let’s cross together," Milo directed, his voice full of hope.
"You’re a smart and loyal friend, Milo. Together, we can do anything," Leo encouraged as they carefully made their way over the log.
"Thank you, Leo! I couldn’t have done it without you," Milo exclaimed, hugging his friend’s big paw.
"And thank you for being honest and loyal, Milo. That’s what true friends do," Leo replied, his heart full of pride.
"When we’re honest, loyal, and work together, we can overcome anything," Leo said, gazing at the horizon.
"I’ll always remember that, and I’ll always be your friend," Milo promised, his eyes shining with happiness.
