Little Cloud drifted along, her soft edges shimmering in the golden sunlight. She watched the flowers sway and stretch, their petals thirsty for a drink.
"Oh, how I wish I could rain and help the flowers bloom," she sighed, swirling herself tighter in hope.
Little Cloud concentrated hard, puffing herself up until she almost burst, but only a soft mist escaped. The flowers below barely noticed, their leaves drooping still.
"I tried so hard, but I failed," she whispered, feeling a small pang of sadness as the sun shone even brighter.
Little Cloud felt smaller than ever as she passed by the towering rainclouds. She saw the flowers in those fields lift their heads in joy, sparkling with fresh raindrops.
"Why can't I do it, too? Am I just too small?" she wondered, her edges drooping with disappointment.
Old Cloud, with years of gentle rain behind him, drifted closer, his voice soft and comforting.
"Every cloud starts small, little one. The important thing is to keep trying, no matter how many times you fall short,"
"But I failed, again and again,"
"Each try makes you stronger. The flowers are counting on you to never give up,"
The moonlight bathes Little Cloud in a silver glow. She puffs herself up once more, determined, feeling a new strength swirling inside her.
"This time, I won't stop trying. I know I can do it," she whispers, her heart full of hope.
Drops dance across the petals, and the flowers lift their heads in joy. Little Cloud smiles from above, her dream finally realized as the field bursts with color and life.
"I did it! All it took was not giving up," she beams, her spirit soaring as high as the morning sky.
