Finn, a tiny silver fish with curious eyes, gazes longingly beyond the pond’s edge. He watches the sky reflected in the water, dreaming of the vastness he’s never seen. "I wonder what lies beyond these lily pads," he murmurs, voice soft as a ripple.
Finn swims to the oldest turtle in the pond, Grandpa Shell, whose shell is covered in moss and stories. "Grandpa Shell, have you ever seen the sea?" Finn asks eagerly.
"Long ago, I heard tales from traveling birds," Grandpa Shell replies, his voice slow and deep. "The sea is endless, mysterious, filled with wonders and dangers too."
"I want to see it for myself," Finn whispers.
Finn circles the edge of the pond, heart pounding with excitement and fear. He glances at his friends—frogs, minnows, and dragonflies—feeling a tug between comfort and adventure. "If I stay, I’ll always wonder. If I leave, I might find my dream," he thinks, steeling his courage.
Finn battles swift currents and dodges darting kingfishers. The water grows colder, the sounds of the pond fading behind him. "I must keep going, no matter how far," Finn encourages himself, tail flicking with resolve.
Finn marvels at the vastness, feeling both tiny and brave. He meets a wise old eel, Eddy, who guides him toward the place where the river meets the sea.
"Be careful, little one. The sea is not just beautiful—it’s wild," Eddy warns, his eyes knowing.
Finn is awestruck, his dream finally realized. He flips joyfully, the salt water cool and exhilarating. "I made it! The world is so much bigger than I ever imagined," he cries, his heart full of wonder and hope, eager for every adventure the sea will bring.
