Finn the Fox looked up, his heart skipping a beat as he realized the moon was nowhere to be seen. "The moon is missing!" he whispered, his eyes wide with concern.
Finn scampered over to the old oak where Ollie the Owl perched. "Ollie, the moon is gone! What if it got lost?" Ollie fluffed his feathers thoughtfully. "Hmm, let's find out!" he hooted, ready for an adventure.
Benny the Bear looked up from his honey, a drop glistening on his fur. "No, but I heard a splash in the river last night. Maybe the moon fell in!" he suggested, licking his paws contentedly.
Finn and Ollie hurried to the riverbank. Finn peered into the water, his reflection staring back at him. "There it is! The moon fell into the river!" he exclaimed excitedly. Ollie chuckled warmly. "That's just the moon’s reflection. The real moon is in the sky, but it's just hiding. Sometimes, it gets smaller and disappears for a little while. But don’t worry, it always comes back!"
Finn sighed in relief, his worries eased. "Phew! I thought we'd have to fish it out!" he laughed, feeling the tension lift from his shoulders. The thought of the moon returning filled him with comfort.
Finn watched the sky each night, a smile on his face as he witnessed the moon's return. "See you tomorrow, Moon!" he whispered softly, knowing now that the moon would always come back, just as Ollie had promised.
