Lucy, a curious little girl with tangled hair and wide, wondering eyes, steps cautiously into this new world. Her small sneakers leave prints in the dewy grass as she gazes at the massive trees and unfamiliar creatures.
"Where am I? This isn't my backyard at all!"
She clutches her faded red backpack, heart pounding with a mix of fear and excitement, as a shadow passes overhead—something enormous and winged.
Lucy creeps closer, mesmerized by the sheer size of the creatures. A baby dinosaur with curious, trusting eyes totters forward, its tiny claws skimming the grass.
Pip, the baby Apatosaurus, cocks its head and lets out a soft, musical trill.
"Hi there, little one. You're not scary at all," Lucy whispers, kneeling to offer a handful of clover. The dinosaur nuzzles her gently, and she giggles, feeling her fear melt away.
Lucy[/@ch_1] and Pip wander deeper into the ancient forest. Vines hang low, and the calls of distant predators echo between the trees.]
They skirt around a bubbling stream, watching as tiny prehistoric insects dart across the water’s surface. Suddenly, a distant roar rumbles, shaking leaves from the trees.
"Was that a dinosaur too, Pip? Should we hide?" Lucy asks, gripping her new friend's thick, scaly neck. Together, they crouch behind a fallen log, peering out with wide eyes.
Rexa[/@ch_3], a scarred Tyrannosaurus—emerges from the undergrowth, its yellow eyes fixed hungrily on the clearing.]
Lucy's heart drums in her chest as Pip trembles beside her. The ground shakes with each step Rexa takes.
"Don't worry, Pip. I'll protect you, I promise," Lucy whispers, clutching a stick for defense even as lightning flashes above.
Lucy[/@ch_1] stands tall, placing herself between Rexa and Pip, her voice trembling but determined.]
"You can't have Pip! Find something else to eat!" she shouts, waving her stick and stomping her feet. For a tense moment, Rexa hesitates, sizing up this brave little creature in the rain.
With a frustrated roar, Rexa finally turns away, lumbering back into the storm-dark woods. Lucy collapses to her knees, relief flooding her as Pip nuzzles her cheek.
Lucy[/@ch_1] and Pip return to the edge of the land where a shimmering portal flickers in the air.]
Lucy hugs Pip tightly, wiping away a tear. She looks back at the dinosaurs grazing peacefully, the world she’s come to love.
"I’ll never forget you, Pip. I’ll tell everyone about the dinosaurs’ land," she promises before stepping through the portal, the world fading into the golden light of morning.
