Sad Lumi floats in the clouds. Lumi peeks out, watching the other stars twinkle confidently. Even their tiniest lights seem to shine much brighter than Lumi's own soft glow. Lumi sighs, feeling small and wishing she could hide forever.
Lumi tucks in closer to the cloud, her light barely flickering. "Maybe I'm just too little to belong up here," Lumi whispers, watching a shooting star streak boldly by. The gentle, watchful moon—Moon Mama—looks on from above, her silver face serene.
"Hey there, little star! Why are you hiding all alone?" comet Nova calls, spiraling gently closer to Lumi. The comet’s glow dances across the sky, making even the quietest corners sparkle.
"Your light is special, you know," Nova says softly. "But it's so small. No one even notices me," Lumi replies, voice trembling. "I noticed! Sometimes, the tiniest lights can brighten the darkest skies," Nova insists, grinning.
Moon Mama speaks with kindness and certainty. "Every light has its purpose, dear Lumi. When the night is deepest, even a small glow can guide and comfort," she explains. The other stars nod, their eyes warm and encouraging.
All the other stars and Nova watch anxiously, hoping for comfort. Lumi takes a shaky breath, gathering courage. "I'll try my best… even if I'm small," Lumi whispers, shining as brightly as she can.
"You did it, Lumi! Your glow is perfect," Nova cheers, twirling happily. "You remind us all that every light matters," Moon Mama adds, her face beaming with pride. Lumi realizes, for the first time, how wonderful it feels to shine.
Lumi floats proudly, side by side with Nova and watched over by Moon Mama. "Maybe my glow was never too small—just waiting for the right moment to help," Lumi says softly, joy sparkling in her light. The night sky, now extra cozy, welcomes all its stars—big and small—to shine together.
