Finn, a small, clever fox with bright amber eyes and a bushy tail, scampers along the winding path toward the lighthouse. He is the assistant to the old lighthouse keeper, but tonight he feels smaller than ever. The stones are cool beneath his paws, and he pauses to listen to distant seagull cries. "I wonder if I’ll ever be brave enough to help," he whispers, gazing up at the glowing tower.
Keeper Badger, sturdy and patient, smiles down at Finn. "Even small lights help when someone is lost," he says, handing Finn a tiny lantern. Finn’s heart glows, but worry lingers. He tiptoes to the window, peering out as the village settles in, each cottage window flickering with its own cozy light.
Finn’s chest tightens as he hears the distant bell of a fishing boat lost in the fog. He looks to Keeper Badger, whose worried eyes meet his. "I’ll check the wiring downstairs. Finn, stay close and keep your lantern ready," says Keeper Badger, disappearing into the shadows below. Finn clutches his lantern, feeling very small.

"Don’t be scared, Finn! We’re here," chirps Clara, her claws clicking softly. Gulliver glides above, dropping a shiny pebble at Finn’s feet. "Even a pebble can catch the light," he encourages. The dolphins giggle and splash, sending little rings of light shimmering over the water. Finn’s courage swells, warmed by his friends.
The small lantern’s beam pierces the fog, casting a gentle, golden path across the restless sea. Finn watches, breath held, as the distant fishing boat’s bell rings again—this time, closer and clearer. "I did it…my little light is shining," Finn whispers, hope blooming in his heart.
Finn gazes out at the peaceful village, feeling taller than ever. "Well done, Finn. Tonight, your light kept us safe," Keeper Badger says warmly. Finn snuggles into his cozy bed, listening to the gentle waves and soft wind. The lighthouse shines over the sleeping village, and Finn’s heart is full—he knows that even the littlest lightkeeper can make a big difference.
