Milo, the little kitten, mews softly, his voice trembling with worry. He looks around, his heart pounding, hoping to see a familiar face among the swaying grass.
"Mama? Mama, where are you?"
No answer comes, and Milo feels a wave of loneliness wash over him.
Sophie, the squirrel, notices Milo and hops over, her eyes full of curiosity and kindness.
"Hello, little kitten! Why do you look so sad on such a beautiful day?"
"I lost my mama," Milo replies, his voice quivering.
"Don’t worry. I’ll help you look. The forest is big, but we’ll find her together!"
Mr. Tully, the turtle, blinks slowly as Milo and Sophie approach.
"Mr. Tully, have you seen a mother cat nearby?"
"I saw a lovely cat with worried eyes heading toward the meadow’s big oak. She was calling for someone. If you hurry, you might catch her!"
"Thank you, Mr. Tully! Let’s go, Sophie!"
Sophie helps Milo squeeze under a branch, and together they bravely navigate the tricky terrain.
"Hold on to my tail if you get scared,"
"I’m glad you’re here with me. I feel braver already,"
The bluebirds sing a cheerful tune, guiding them through the twisting path.
Mama Cat, Milo’s mother, spots him as he emerges from the shadows with Sophie by his side.
"Milo! I was so worried!"
"Mama!" Milo leaps into her arms, nuzzling close as she purrs with relief.
"You’re safe now, Milo! And you have so many friends,"
"Thank you all for helping my little one,"
"I’ll never be afraid with friends like you,"
The animals celebrate together, their hearts light and full of happiness, as the sun sets in a blaze of colors.
