A playful lamb frolics a little too far from the flock, enchanted by the flutter of butterflies. Its small hooves tap energetically on the soft earth, unaware that the distance from its ewe is growing.
"Maa?" the lamb bleats tentatively, turning in circles as it searches for a glimpse of its ewe among the grazing sheep. The realization of being lost creeps in, and the once carefree meadow now seems daunting.
Determined to find its mother, the lamb ventures further, its bleat echoing in the stillness. It follows faint trails of grass, hoping each step brings it closer to the familiar warmth of its ewe.
The dog opens one eye, his tail wagging lazily. "Lost, are you?" he barks softly, getting to his feet with a knowing gaze. The lamb nods, hope flickering in its eyes.
"We'll have you back to your flock in no time," the dog assures, his voice a comforting rumble. Together, they navigate the meadow, the lamb's bleats growing more confident with each step.
With a joyful bleat, the lamb breaks into a run, the dog's watchful eyes following. Mother and lamb reunite with nuzzles and gentle nudges, the warmth of the flock enfolding them once more.
