Holly stirred as the first light of dawn peeked through the frosted window. Her little brother, Little Dash, was already bouncing on the bed, his excitement contagious. Jolly, her sister, groaned, pulling the covers over her head. "It's one more week until Christmas!"
Holly poured orange juice for everyone while Jolly tried to control Little Dash's sugary enthusiasm. "I want pancakes!" he demanded, despite having them just the day before. The trio settled into their routine amidst laughter and playful arguments.
With Little Dash snug in his stroller, Holly and Jolly set off down the street. They waved to Tinsel, their neighbor, admiring the new Christmas tree proudly displayed. The sound of bells drew their attention to Jingles, who was lost in his music. "Jingle bells, jingle bells!" he sang, joining their walk in a jolly chorus.
Holly led Little Dash to the toy room, instructing him to behave while she fed the reindeers. He peeked around the colorful room, eyes wide with wonder but soon grew restless. "So boring," he mumbled, hatching a plan to visit Santa's Grotto for a treat.
Little Dash ducked and weaved through the elves, clutching a large toy for cover. Reaching the grotto, he fished out his chocolate coins, ready for a mince pie. But Jolly soon spotted him, shaking her head with a smile. "What are you doing here, Dash?" she asked, amused by his antics.
Holly returned just as Jolly called her. Snow Flake, their sister who lived in Pixie Land, was coming over. The news filled the house with anticipation. "Yay!" Little Dash cheered, his earlier adventure forgotten. As the clock struck ten, Snow Flake arrived, bringing stories and laughter that lasted well into the night.
