Lila skipped along the path, her pigtails bouncing with each step. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she glanced around, eager to discover something new. "Mama, can I help you in the garden today?" she asked, looking up at her mother, Maya, with hope.
Maya knelt among the plants, her hands busy with the weeds. "Of course, dear. There's always room for an extra pair of hands," she replied warmly. Lila eagerly joined her, carefully pulling out weeds and watering the thirsty plants. "I want to make our garden the most beautiful in the village!"
Lila paused, her eyes widening as she spotted a tiny, fluffy rabbit peeking out from the foliage. "Look, Mama! A bunny!" she exclaimed, pointing with excitement. Maya smiled gently, "It seems we have a visitor in our garden. Let's make sure it feels welcome," she suggested.
Lila and Maya gathered soft leaves and twigs, arranging them to form a snug little bed. "I hope it likes it," Lila said, her voice filled with anticipation. "I'm sure it will. You've done a wonderful job," her mother encouraged.
Lila looked around in awe, "Our garden is magical now, isn't it, Mama?" she asked. Maya nodded, her heart swelling with pride. "Yes, my dear. You've brought kindness and love into it, and that's the most magical thing of all," she replied.
"Mama, being a good child means helping and being kind, doesn't it?" Lila mused, her eyes heavy with sleep. Maya kissed her forehead softly, "Yes, and you've shown that beautifully today. Goodnight, my sweet Lila," she whispered, turning off the light as Lila drifted into dreams of gardens and bunnies.
