Oliver, his eyes wide with wonder, sat cross-legged with a book of magical creatures open on his lap. His loyal friend, Snoopy, lay beside him, ears perked up and tail wagging in anticipation of the evening's adventure.
"Can you see it, Snoopy?" Oliver whispered, pointing at the illustration of a dragon soaring over mountains. Snoopy responded with a playful bark, his eyes reflecting the boy's enthusiasm.
Oliver's voice grew animated as he described a knight's quest to save a kingdom. "And then, the brave knight rode through the forest, with his trusty companion by his side," he narrated, glancing at Snoopy as if to say they were that knightly duo.
Oliver paused his storytelling to stroke Snoopy's fur, feeling the warmth of his friend beside him. "You're my best friend, Snoopy," he murmured, his voice filled with affection.
Oliver closed his book with a contented sigh, the stories woven into the fabric of his dreams. "Tomorrow, we'll find another adventure," he promised, as Snoopy nestled closer, eyes slowly closing.
Oliver and Snoopy remained on the porch, under a blanket of stars, dreaming of lands far away, where imagination knew no bounds.
