The children in Shark class giggle and chatter as they hang up their bags, the scent of fresh crayons and paper filling the classroom. Suddenly, a magical shimmer sparkles in the air by the reading corner. Out of nowhere, five extraordinary visitors appear: the princess in a sparkling gown, the pirate with a striped shirt and a feathered hat, the penguin waddling with a bright red bow tie, the cat with emerald eyes and a swishy tail, and the gruffalo, tall and covered in purple prickles.
"Hello, brave Shark class! I am Princess Lila, and these are my friends. We’ve come from far away to visit your wonderful school,"
the pirate tips his hat and bows, the penguin gives a little wave with his flipper, the cat purrs softly, and the gruffalo gives a gentle, toothy grin. The children clap with excitement, eager to hear more.
"Who wants to go on a treasure hunt with me?" the pirate calls, holding up a map with shiny gold stars. Some children race after him, while the penguin shows others how to slide on their tummies, and the cat leaps gracefully around the climbing frame. the gruffalo carefully helps a little one across the wobbly bridge, making everyone laugh with his funny faces.
"Would you like to hear a story from my deep, dark woods?" the gruffalo rumbles kindly. Princess Lila adds sparkly details, the pirate makes silly voices, the penguin flaps his wings in excitement, and the cat curls up in a child’s lap, purring along. The whole class listens, wide-eyed, as the magical friends spin a tale of adventure and friendship.
"Thank you for sharing your day with us," says Princess Lila, giving each child a sparkling sticker as a keepsake.
"Whenever you need a friend, just imagine us, and we’ll be there," chirps the penguin warmly. The children wave and promise to remember their new friends forever, their hearts full of happiness and wonder.
As the children leave for home, they whisper to each other about the princess’s kindness, the pirate’s adventures, the penguin’s cheer, the cat’s snuggles, and the gruffalo’s gentle strength. Sunmarke School feels just a bit more magical, and the children know that the best stories can come true—especially when friends from faraway lands visit for a day.
