Jacob Wyatt stood at the edge of the sidewalk, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Dressed in a vibrant leprechaun costume, complete with a green hat and a belt buckle, he tugged at his rainbow-patterned sweater to keep warm. Though his blue hair was an unusual choice for a leprechaun, the spirit of Halloween allowed for endless possibilities.
Lila, a girl with pigtails and a witch's hat, pointed at Jacob, her eyes wide with wonder. "Look! It's a leprechaun! I bet he knows where the pot of gold is!" Jacob laughed, shaking his head, his blue hair glinting in the firelight. "I wish I did! But I'm just here for candy," he replied playfully.
Tommy, dressed as a pirate, joined Jacob's side. "If you were a real leprechaun, you'd have magic, right?" Jacob grinned, adjusting his hat. "Maybe I do, but I can't reveal my secrets," he teased, enjoying the role he had unexpectedly fallen into.
Jacob hesitated at the gate, feeling a mix of fear and thrill. Emily, a girl dressed as a fairy, nudged him. "Come on, leprechaun! Let's see if there's treasure inside," she urged. With a deep breath, Jacob nodded, stepping forward with his friends.
Jacob led the way, his eyes wide with excitement. "Maybe there really is treasure in here," he whispered, the thrill of adventure replacing any lingering fear. Lila and Tommy followed closely, their laughter echoing through the halls.
Jacob sat on a bench, looking at the stars. "Thanks for letting me be a leprechaun tonight," he said to his friends, who had embraced his costume with enthusiasm. "We should do this again next year," Emily suggested with a smile, and the group agreed, already imagining what new adventures awaited them next Halloween.
