Domo the dragon loomed large on the horizon, his dark scales glistening in the early light. He was a formidable sight, his eyes like burning coals, casting a shadow that stretched across the valley. Yet beneath his menacing exterior, he longed for a friend. Most of the other creatures were frightened of his scary appearaance and wouldn't come near him.
Moustache the mouse scurried forward, his soft fur gleaming under the sun. His orange shirt and blue shorts were a splash of color amidst the greenery. "Hello there, mighty dragon," he squeaked. His little heart was pounding with a mixture of fear and determination.
Domo turned his massive head, and looked at the mouse. "What brings you here, little one?" he rumbled. "I see you are misunderstood," Moustache replied gently, his kind eyes meeting Domo's. "Perhaps if you let go of some of that fire, you might feel happier?"
Domo hesitated, then gathered his courage. With a mighty bellow, he released a torrent of fire, the flames burned through the air, heating up the countryside. As the fire lit up the sky, a change began. Domo's scales shimmered, shifting from dark hues to brilliant emerald and gold. A laugh bubbled up from his belly, a sound of pure joy. "Let me do that again," he exclaimed. With each breath of fire, Domo's colors brightened and his heart became lighter with joy.
Moustache stood proudly beside Domo, and he placed his small hand on the dragon's foot. "See, my friend? Releasing your fire has helped show everyone who you really area," he mused. "Thank you, Moustache," Domo replied, his eyes bright with gratitude. "I have never felt happier."
Domo wrapped a gentle wing around Moustache, his heart full of contentment. "I owe it all to you, my brave little friend," he said. Together, they watched the stars appear, their bond as bright and enduring as the moon overhead. And so, with Moustache by his side, Domo learned not to keep his fire stuck inside. And if he ever forgot, his friend would remind him before his scales turned dark again. Together they had many adventures and enjoyed a wonderful friendship forever.
