Jonah and Jesse hurry to finish their breakfast, excitement bubbling for the day ahead. Their mother hands each a packed lunch, and the siblings race outside, the crisp air filling their lungs. "Ready for TK, Jesse?"
"I can't wait! Maybe we'll paint today," replies Jesse, swinging his backpack over his shoulder.
Jonah draws a picture of the mountains, while Jesse tries to build the tallest block tower. The teacher smiles at their creativity, and the room hums with playful chatter. "Look, Jesse! My mountain is higher than your tower!"
"Not for long! Watch this," laughs Jesse, stacking another block.
Jonah hums a tune, imagining the notes he'll play. Jesse tries to copy, giggling when he gets it wrong. "I hope we get to play the drums today,"
"And maybe I'll try the piano!" dreams Jesse, as they walk together toward the MAC building.
Jonah grabs Jesse's hand, eyes wide in surprise. The snake pauses, tongue flicking, then glides silently across the tiles. "Is that a real snake?" whispers Jesse, barely breathing.
"Let's follow it. Maybe it's lost!" suggests Jonah, curiosity overcoming his nerves.
Jesse kneels, reaching out slowly. "Hello, snake. Are you here for the music?" he asks, voice gentle. The snake seems to nod, and then slithers away, leaving a trail that almost looks like musical notes on the shiny floor.
"I think it likes music as much as we do," says Jonah, grinning at his brother.
Jesse taps the piano keys, imagining the snake dancing to each note. Jonah beats the drum, hoping the music will call the snake back. "Maybe next time, we can write a song about our snake adventure,"
"And play it for everyone at MAC!" declares Jesse, as the melody fills the room and their imaginations soar.
