Luis, a young boy with dark, curly hair and bright, curious eyes, stood at the entrance of his new school, clutching the leash of his dog, Max. Max, a friendly golden retriever, wagged his tail eagerly. "It's going to be okay, Max. We'll make new friends," Luis whispered, trying to reassure himself as much as his furry companion.
As Luis entered the classroom, he felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. He noticed Emma, a girl with a kind smile and pigtails, waving at him from across the room. "Hi! Is that your dog?" Emma asked, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Yes, this is Max. He's really friendly," replied Luis, feeling a little braver.
During recess, Luis and Max joined Emma and her friends. They played tag, with Max happily chasing after them. Jake, a boy with a mischievous grin, laughed as Max caught up to him. "Your dog is really fast!" Jake exclaimed. Luis felt a warmth spread through him, realizing he was already making friends.
Luis, Emma, and Jake sat together at lunch, sharing stories about their favorite games and pets. "Tomorrow, let's teach Max some new tricks!" suggested Emma. "He loves learning new things," Luis replied, feeling grateful for his new friends.
As the day ended, Luis waved goodbye to Emma and Jake. Max barked happily, his tail wagging as if to say he had enjoyed the day too. "See you tomorrow!" Luis called out, already looking forward to more adventures.
That night, Luis lay in bed with Max curled up at his feet. He thought about his first day and the new friends he had made. "We did it, Max. We made friends," he whispered, feeling a sense of belonging and excitement for the days to come.
