Arjun finished the last spoonful of his mashed potatoes, the comforting chatter of his family surrounding him. The kitchen was a cozy haven, filled with the soft glow of the overhead light, casting gentle shadows around the room. He bid his parents goodnight and headed to his bedroom, feeling the weight of the day settle in his little, slender frame.
Arjun snuggled under his blankets, the room dimly lit by the sliver of moonlight sneaking through the curtains. His round face and bright eyes reflected the gentle rustle of the leaves outside his window, creating a soothing lullaby. As his eyelids grew heavy, he drifted into slumber, unaware of the adventure awaiting him in the realm of dreams.
Arjun awoke with a start, his room now enveloped in darkness. An eerie creaking sound emanated from the wardrobe, filling the air with a sense of dread. He watched in horror as the door swung open to reveal a strange creature with the body of an elf and the head of a calf, four toes on each leg. "Who are you?" Arjun whispered, his voice trembling with fear.
The creature lunged forward, grabbing Arjun and tossing him into a swirling abyss. Green sparks danced around him as he struggled, feeling the creature's grip loosen. He fought back, his heart racing, until the creature opened a door to nothingness and pushed him through. Arjun felt himself falling endlessly, terror gripping his every thought. "This can't be real!"
Arjun jolted awake, drenched in sweat and gasping for air. The familiar sight of his bedroom greeted him, bathed in the soft morning light. He sat up, heart still pounding, as reality slowly set in. It was just a nightmare, a figment of his imagination. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts.
Just as Arjun began to relax, a gentle knock echoed from the door. Anxiety gripped him again as he stared at it, unsure of what awaited on the other side. Slowly, the door creaked open to reveal Krish, his little brother, peeking in with a sleepy smile. "Can I sleep with you?" Krish asked, his voice soft and inviting. Relief washed over Arjun as he welcomed his brother with open arms. Together, they cuddled under the covers, the warmth of their bond chasing away any lingering fears. In the comfort of Krish's presence, Arjun finally drifted back to sleep, knowing he was safe.
