Lily, with her curly hair bouncing, excitedly skipped towards the picnic spot. Her eyes sparkled with joy as she spotted her friends already gathered. "Hello, everyone!" she chirped, her voice full of enthusiasm.
Ben, a thoughtful boy with a gentle smile, waved back. "Hi, Lily! We're just setting up," he replied, pointing to the snacks neatly arranged on the blanket.
Sara, a kind-hearted girl with a love for learning, picked up a sandwich. "Remember to say 'please' and 'thank you' when you ask for something," she reminded gently, her eyes twinkling with kindness.
Lily nodded eagerly, "Please pass me the apple juice," she said with a smile, and Ben happily obliged.
Ben demonstrated how to use a napkin, carefully wiping his hands after enjoying some strawberries. "It's important to keep clean," he explained patiently, showing the others how to fold it neatly.
Lily followed suit, her little hands mimicking Ben's actions. "Look, I'm doing it too!" she giggled, proud of her new skill.
Sara suggested a game of passing the snack basket, ensuring everyone had a chance to pick their favorite treat. "Let's make sure everyone gets something they love," she encouraged, her voice full of warmth.
Lily loved the idea. "I'll help pass it around," she offered, eager to join in the fun.
Ben looked around at his friends with satisfaction. "We did a great job today," he said, his eyes shining with pride.
Lily beamed, "I loved learning about good manners. It makes everything more fun!"
Sara gave Lily a warm hug. "Let's have another picnic soon," she suggested, her voice hopeful.
Lily nodded eagerly, "Yes, with lots of 'please' and 'thank you'!" she giggled, as they all waved goodbye, promising to bring their new manners to every meal.
