Mia sat on the swing, her small legs kicking back and forth, as she watched her three friends approach. Lilie, Sophie, and Emma were laughing together, their backpacks bouncing with each step. "Here they come," she thought, a mischievous smile spreading across her face.
Without a moment's hesitation, Mia strode up to Lilie and, with surprising strength, lifted her off the ground. "Whoa, Mia! What are you doing?" Lilie exclaimed, her eyes wide with surprise. Mia giggled, carrying her across the yard as if she weighed nothing.
Mia gently scooped up Sophie in her arms, cradling her like a baby. With a sweet, playful voice, she began to sing a lullaby, much to the amusement of onlookers. "This isn't fair!" Sophie laughed, unable to contain her giggles as she pretended to sleep.
Emma was next, and she jumped onto Mia's back for a piggyback ride. "Giddy up, Mia!" Emma shouted, as Mia carried her across the yard, their laughter ringing through the air. The three older girls, once so sure of themselves, found themselves embracing the fun and unexpected turn of events.
From that day on, the tables had turned. Mia's playful antics had brought them all closer, and now, the older girls often requested piggyback rides from her. "Who gets to go first today?" Lilie would ask, as they gathered in the classroom, ready to play rock-paper-scissors to decide.
The bond between Mia and her friends deepened, their laughter echoing in the halls long after school ended. What had started as a simple plan had turned into a cherished tradition, adding a spark of joy to their everyday routine. "I guess I'm stronger than I thought," Mia mused, her heart full of warmth as she walked home with her friends by her side.
